I love scallops. I used to be a very picky eater and among many other foods I would hardly touch any seafood at all. But as of late, I have come to embrace trying new foods. Fear not mothers of picky eaters - there is hope! Some of the best food I have ever eaten was an octopus and squid dish in Lima, and so from there I have learned that trying different foods is so much fun, and usually quite delicious. With the exception of avocado, yuck!
This recipe of Dorie's is surprisingly quick and simple. I thought it was perfect paired with asparagus, as pictured in her book. And the asparagus was delicious with the caramel-orange sauce too! While not one of my favourites, I definitely enjoyed this recipe and it made for a delicious lunch. I loved how the scallops turned out, I thought they were just beautiful.
